Job Overview

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic individuals to join our team this summer. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to manage swim programs, supervise staff, and promote positive childhood development through sports and water safety education.

Certifications

• Water Safety Instructor (WSI)
• Lifeguard Certified
• First Aid certified

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aquatic activities, including instructional swim, free swim, and water games, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed.
• Supervise lifeguards and camp staff to maintain high standards of safety, behavior management, and engagement.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate swim curricula that promote water safety skills and confidence in the water.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of swimming areas, equipment, and facilities to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Schedule weekly evaluations for team members.
• Monitor and conduct weekly swim lessons.

Experience

• Proven experience and strong background in swimming instruction and/or water safety training.
• Certifications in Lifeguarding, Water Safety Instruction, First Aid, and CPR are required.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies are desirable.

Requirements

• Previous coaching and/or teaching experience: 1 year (Required).
• Working with children: 1 year (Required).
• 2 references required.
